Swire Coca-Cola produces, sells and distributes Coca-Cola and other beverages in 13 states across the western U.S. Company representatives opted to retrofit their existing 300,000-squarefoot distribution center for efficiencies. In addition, they wanted to ensure a new 300,000-square-foot distribution center also was as efficient as possible. In both buildings, proper ventilation also was very important, so the company’s facility manager, environmental manager, and mechanical engineer reviewed all potential heating and ventilation options.

Cambridge Air Solutions Inc. has introduced two new lines of direct and indirect evaporative HVAC solutions. Officially unveiled in November 2018, the E-Series and ESC-Series units serve industrial, commercial and institutional properties and provide cooling without the use of refrigerants.

Cambridge Air Solutions EXPANDS INTO INDUSTRIAL COOLING MARKET

St. Louis, MO (June 1, 2018) – Industry-leading space heating and ventilation manufacturer Cambridge Air Solutions has acquired the Spec-Air and Ares brands of cooling products from Essick Air. Cambridge will continue to offer customers the EPAC and SSC product lines from the former Spec-Air product portfolio. Cambridge and Essick closed the deal in late May.

After several years of offering its S-Series heater in custom vertical configurations to meet specific customer needs, Cambridge Air Solutions has standardized the vertical design in three different sizes, along with vertical mounting stands to make installation easier. The S-Series is an HTHV (high temperature heating and ventilation) direct gas-fired space heater that is 40 percent to 70 percent more energy efficient than all other types of indirect and direct gas-fired systems used to heat large commercial and industrial buildings.

Patten CAT is a fourth-generation Caterpillar sales and service organization that began back in 1933. Their relationship with Cambridge Air Solutions heating products started in 2005 when they purchased their first Cambridge S-Series unit to retrofit a less than effective heating system at their Oglesby, IL location. Fast forward 12 years, and Patten has over 25 Cambridge units heating six of their locations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Braun is a well-known advocate for energy efficiency in the HVAC industry. He is an active member of ASHRAE and supports two standing committees as both a participant and an authorized reviewer of pending industry standards and guidelines. He’s also a frequent speaker at ASHRAE and other industry conferences. Braun played a critical role in the development of HTHV as a product category, working with both ASHRAE and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The category was introduced in 2013 and is part of standards created for all gas-fired heaters that perform at 90 percent or higher efficiency levels.

According to Randy Niederer, marketing director, Cambridge, the S-Series and SA-Series space heaters are typically used in new and existing buildings with large open spaces, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing and assembly plants, indoor sport facilities, car dealership service bays, aircraft hangars, and boat storage facilities.
